The Flora-tec team are always looking for ways to improve and this month they have taken several steps forward to reaching the goals laid out in our environmental charter.

In their committment to reducing waste and emissions they have purchased several new LPG vehicles that, meaning that 25% of our fleet now runs on cleaner fuel.  Added to which, Flora-tec are currently testing a new formulation of compost that is made up of 40% wood pulp. 

Not only does this reduce the need for peat, they have also found it to promote excellent root growth, leading to healthier plants. The compost is also 25% lighter making it easier for Flora-tec's technicians to handle - good news when you have to move several thousand bags of compost each year!
