Paul Cochrane, previously Managing Director of Rentokil Initial New Zealand and Fiji, has been appointed as Managing Director for Ambius UK.
Effective immediately, Paul Cochrane will oversee Rentokil Initial’s UK interior landscape business which operates under the brand name Ambius. Cochrane will be based in Rentokil Initial’s corporate headquarters in London alongside Jeff Mariola, Managing Director Ambius, who assumed responsibility for the UK position as an interim measure.
Jeff Mariola, Managing Director Ambius says, “It is an exciting time for Ambius worldwide as we have a new global brand identity that reflects our newly extended product portfolio and will accommodate future growth in the market.
“Under Paul Cohrane’s leadership, Ambius UK will build upon its market position, creating an even stronger company.”
Paul Cochrane comments, “This is a great position for me to be in as I’m joining at a time of renewed focus and energy. There are ambitious growth plans for Ambius UK and I am looking forward to driving these forward – my first priority is to create a solid platform and scalable business model by reshaping the UK business into a highly specialised, innovative, flexible and transparent organisation. An organisation that will respond quickly to the changing needs of its customers and the challenges and opportunities that an increasingly competitive marketplace presents.”
Cochrane consolidated Rentokil Initial New Zealand’s position as a highly specialised business service network in tune with its customer needs and local community. While there he guided the Initial Tropical Plants division through a strategic realignment which proved successful in shifting consumer perception of the company.
Cochrane joined Rentokil Initial 17 years ago as a branch manager and has held a variety of management positions, as well as leading four business divisions – Plants, Pest, Hygiene and Products. Last year he was invited to join the APAC board and played a key role within the team which shaped the future of the business in Asia.
