SIMPLY PLANTS is celebrating its 25th year in the Industry by moving to new premises in Leicester.
The company was established in Peterborough in 1983 by Liz and Tim Law, although Tim continued to pursue his career in the Civil Service. The company covered a wide area of operations, contracts with a national house builder in the northern home counties, from Bicester in the west to Haverhill in the east, work in the Metrocentre in Gateshead and a national contract with a firm of office fitters. They have seen many changes in the Industry.
They had a thriving Exhibition arm in the 80s contracting for the "Fleet Show" for EMAP and numerous other shows in London, Brighton and the NEC, alongside the usual office contracts in a 100 mile radius of Peterborough.
However a change of direction came when Tim Law took over the reins in 1997 and concentrated the hub of the business in Burton on Trent, servicing the East and West Midlands alongside the established Peterborough contracts. One of the first new sucesses was obtaining the Diana Memorial Hospital in Birmingham, and it has gone from strenth to strength.
Along with the advent of the Internet the company is entering its second quarter century and is looking forward to another new era with Tim's son James Law taking an increasingly active role in the management and operations alongside his father, and the part time return of co-founder Liz Law, the company is optimistic about another 25 years - on towards its Golden 50th.
